After 23 happy years in Graham Gardens we have taken the plunge and moved to bigger and better things to accommodate our expanding AKFP family. Some of us have been there from the very start and have shared all that life has thrown at us with each other in those premises. It is fair to say that it was a sad and emotional goodbye, clearing out the offices brought back so many memories and we came across some âretroâ treasures! Those of us who are more advanced in years, shall we say, had fun quizzing the younger members of the team on what certain artifacts, such as what floppy disk boxes were!
Our new home at the Sidings in Lisburn is a spacious, bright and modern building. We have undertaken major refurbishment to ensure that it reflects our personality. It has been a rewarding, if not challenging, project and we are absolutely delighted with the results! As with most things in life, it didnât quite run smoothly or on time but we could not be happier with how it all pulled together in the end.
Every member of our team has had an input into the design of our new premises. We value teamwork and mutual respect above all things here at AKFP and wanted to ensure that the space was somewhere that each team member would feel comfortable and at home. From the small things like choosing artwork and stationery to the larger task of helping to decide on carpets, furniture and the all-important coffee machines! There is a little bit of everyoneâs personality reflected in all our shiny, new fixtures and fittings. Rachel and Jacqui have had a ball shopping for the homely touches whilst Brian and James were mainly interested in what size of flat screen they were getting to watch the World Cup on at lunchtime!
We canât wait to show our clients all the features that will make visiting us more convenient and comfortable. We have secured ample client parking right outside our front door, we have installed air conditioning (for the two days of the year that it is needed) and we think that we serve one of the best cups of coffee around, complete with a tray of biscuits (if James hasnât eaten them all). Stay tuned for details of our grand opening, we hope you will love it as much as we do.
