Last year, we closed our headquarters for four weeks to see if we could still operate as effectively working remotely for the entire time.
The exercise was so successful that we are repeating it this summer.
We have recently moved to new premises at The Sidings in Lisburn but on 29th June, we will be closing the doors for a month while we work away from the office.
As a business that embraces modern technology, working remotely poses no problems for us. We are able to access everything we need from the cloud so we can service our clients as usual. Calls into the office will be shared and diverted to a designated mobile and any face-to-face appointments will be scheduled around the closure. Someone will just pop in now and again to review the post.
The initiative was really welcomed by the whole team last year and fully supported by our clients so it made sense to repeat it this summer. We know we have the systems in place to deal with any client queries in line with our usual high level of service.
Many of us have young families so the added flexibility of this approach at this time of year is greatly valued. Last year, we found that the exercise really boosted morale and increased the motivation to get daily tasks completed.
The philosophy behind our form of lifestyle financial planning is āOne Life, Live Itā, āand this way of working shows we practise what we preach!
Working remotely continues in popularity within the SME space, especially as cloud-based systems have removed any limitations to effective working. As far as the client is concerned, the outcome remains just as positive, regardless of where it is being delivered from. As for the team, we are not only spared a lengthy commute but a change of scene increases our happiness and wellbeing.
