About Brian

I started my career in financial services working with Irish Life around 20 years ago. I moved back home 14 years ago to continue my career and now work as a Financial Paraplanner / Technical Analyst and Client Manager at AKFP.

My job role includes everything from basic administration to building New Business Recommendation reports, processing new business, analysing funds and building cashflow models. You might meet me during an initial meeting and when we’re compiling information for your cashflow analysis, and on an ongoing basis in your annual meetings.

Your favourite way to spend a few days off…

Spending time with family and playing football with my son.

What’s the most valuable thing you’ve learnt doing your job?

Planning for your financial future is one of the most important things you can do and the earlier you start, the better.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? And why?

Never judge a book by its cover. (People and situations are rarely how they first seem.) And… Wait 24 hours before reacting to something that’s made you mad.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Being in a meeting and seeing clients realise that their financial future is going to be better than they imagined. Or setting out a plan for the clients to improve their future financially.
